Strengthen Your Skills in Facilitation

This in-depth, week-long intensive supports advanced-level practitioners and those leading or desiring to lead transformational work in their spheres to develop unique, highly effective facilitation skills needed to create thought-provoking learning spaces and facilitate conversations with an equity lens.

Participants will leave with hands-on training, practice, and feedback around a handful of techniques.

Training includes:

  • Using story as a tool for creating connection
  • Identifying and working with personal activation points
  • Working with and understanding white and BIPOC resistance
  • Facilitating from questions to create the conditions for others to do their work
  • Creating affinity spaces for processing differentiated experiences
  • Developing tools for creating a culture of feedback as a gift
  • Combining adaptive, transformational, holistic approaches to technical, solution-focused, issue-based thinking

These topics, along with others, will draw on the Center’s own experience and expertise, as well as frameworks and theories from influential figures such as Ruth King, Resmaa Menakem, and Dr. Sharroky Hollie.

This training is led by Hanif Fazal, and will include a copy of his book,
An Other World.

We ask that participants come to this training with foundational knowledge or having participated in Reframing Racism.

 In-person only at this time.
